Sundarakanda
Sarga 44

This Sarga starts with, "సందిష్టో రాక్షసేంద్రేణ", meaning that ordered by the king of Rakshasas, Ravana left for the battle, and ends with the line, "పపాత నిహతౌ భూమౌ". It means that ,-"Being killed fell on the ground." That summarizes the story of the forty-fourth Sarga.

Thus ends the forty fourth Sarga of Sundarakanda in Ramayana the very first poem composed in Sanskrit by the first poet sage Valmiki.
