Welcome to kasarabada.org :
June 29 , 2012
The Story of a Jar/Pot presented last week has generated enough thoughts, and based on some comments, the page got again updated midway through the week!!. If you have missed it please see !!.
In continuation of our interest in learning about the robust discussions and analogies of Vedic times we are bringing one more related topic. It is to do with interpretation of sentences like " He ate a mountain of Mangoes", or "The Guns marched" or say "This is that babi ", or "He is Narada" . These are sentences pregnant with meaning and Vedic scholars had their methods for extracting the sense or meaning of such sentences . This is presented under the title "the methods of Elucidation" in the regular column of "the one more thing" . Therein also lies an explanation for the mahavakya "Tatvamasi" or "That thou art" !!

Welcome to Kasarabada.org ! There are new stories on "Bhagavatam", "Athato-Brhma-jignyasa", and "One more thing"
Narada carrying a veena and saying " narayana , narayana" is one character too well known to all those familiar with Hindu classics. His name is forever merged into our consciousness and into our colloquial lore that some people may even use his name as synonym for a mischievous man by saying " He is (like) a Narada! ". The Bhagavatam revisits the story of Narada from Skandha one of Bhagavatam .
Under Athato Brahma Jignyasaa- we revert to Katha upanishad with Yama answering Nachiketa's question on what happens after death. Yama then continue elaboration on Self.
