Welcome to Kasarabada.org
July 11, 2015 !!
kasarabada.org welcomes all !
Balakanda continues with Sarga 51. In this Satananda the high priest of king Janaka starts telling the story of Viswamitra. He starts by telling Rama that he was fortunate in having Viswamitra to follow !!. It is the story of a King becoming a Brahmarshi. This is a story we will go through next 12 weeks ! Probably it is one of the biggest sub-stories of Ramayana ! As usual it is carried with slokas in Devanagari, Telugu and Kannada , with meanings in English and Telugu.
Last week we started with Bhagavadgita. This is part of "Athato Brahma jignyaasa " stream. Bhagavadgita comes with all slokas of the chapter and the notes on the chapter separately. As we have been doing, the slokas are made available in Devanagari, Kannada and Telugu scripts. The commentary is in English only. We have started Bhagavadgita in Telugu two weeks ago as part of our Telugu home page. This is a collective effort of couple of people. Like many families for us too Bhagavdgita holds a family tradition. The story of our involvement with Bhagavadgita ( Our Gita) brings back happy reminiscences of days gone by and is detailed elsewhere !
Krishna tried to simplify complex rituals or issues so common people too can participate in such rituals . Some of things he simplified are Yagnya, Tapas etc so that these are within the reach of common people. Another word he redefined is Yoga. We are sure that in the times gone by these words caused confusion and through Krishna we have a better understanding of what they are. Today probably Yoga is being celebrated all over as though it is mostly related to physical exercise. From the vast ancient literature Yoga is more complex with definition of Ashtanga Yoga etc. But Krishna went farther, he said - Yogah karmasu Kausalam .
We have multilingual pages. An important part of language pages is Telugu. The Telugu home page is restructured . We want all our Telugu visitors to visit the new Telugu page. We created pages for Telugu Balakanda, Telugu Bhagavadgita and Subbalakshmi gari kalamlO. These are in addition to the earlier Vijayraghavrao gari Sundarakanda.
We are excited.
Happy Reading !
