Anjaneya Navaratnamala Stotram

Special Issue on Hanuman!

Welcome to kasarabada.org.

This is a special issue on Hanuman. We have the following new additions.

- Anjaneya Stotra , this is added to our list of Storas,

- article on Ashtha Siddhis or Powers of Hanuma,

- an article in Praise of Hanuma in Ramayana,

our regular issues of Tattvadipika, the inner story of Sundarakanda, is also a tribute to Hanuma. In the inner story of Sundarakanda Hanuma appears in the form of a teacher or Acharya. There is much to learn.

We are never out of words for Hanuman , who is affectionately called Hanuma in these pages.

There are more Hanuman stories in these pages namely -

" In the Thick of Battle" ,

" Questions , Questions and more questions",

Hanuma gets an powerful embrace of Rama.

In Yuddhakanda Sarga 1, Rama heaps praise on Hanuma , calling him "Purushottam", That too is a story worth reading.

This week the Tattvadipika continues with the English versions of Sargas 40 , 41 and 42. The corresponding Telugu versions of 40 , 41 , and 42 are also updated. Tattvadipika now has its own home page which will continue to be updated in the coming weeks.

The links for these Sargas in English and Telugu are also available on the home page of Tattvadipika and corresponding Telugu Link తత్త్వదీపిక: .

After our last post on Ramayan and Gayatri, we felt a need to keep the clarity on the 24 syllables of Gayatri. hence they are reproduced again for clarity.

Gayatri mantra has 24 syllables. They are

tat, 2.sa, vi, 4.tur, va, 6.re, .ṇi, 8.yaṃ,bhar, 10,go, de, 12.va, .sya, 14.dhī, .ma, 16.hi, dhi, 18.yo, yo, 20.naḥ,.pra, 22.cho da 24.yāt. ( alternate syllables are numbered)

Our Stotras or Hymns home page is also getting updated. Our attachment to adding Stotras resulted in adding Lalita Sahasranamam in addition to Vishnu Sahasranamam in the recent weeks. We are also adding Devi Mahatmyam as part of the Stotras page. So welcome to the updated page of Stotras and Songs. The Telugu versions have been consolidated in one page Telugu Prayers/ తెలుగు ప్రార్థనలు:

These Stutis/Slokas are a throw back to our childhood times when all the siblings at home gather for evening prayers, with everybody singing these wonderful Stotras in unison and in thundering Kasarabada voices .

The review for the trust activities and the plans for the next year (2020-21) are normally presented during the the this nine day festivities. The corona virus did upset the plans. We hope to summarize the same on the Trust pages very soon.

Happy reading !

Kasarabada Sundarakanda Project :

The Kasarabada Sundarakanda Project or Kasarabada Project is as follows:

- Put together a smaller version of Sundarakanda in about 300 Slokas encompassing the entire story of Sundarakanda told in nearly 3000 slokas of Sundarakanda of Valmiki Ramayan.

- The first version of this is to be in Telugu , followed by one with English Translation. This is to be called Sankshipta Sundarakanda

- Create an on line version of Sundarakanda all Slokas of Sundarakanda for daily Parayan. This is to be available in multiple languages starting with Telugu, Kannada, Devanagari and Gujarati

- Create a version of Sundarakanda with all slokas rearranged in a prose order form for students of Sanskrit to discern the meaning very easily. This is also to make the later translation of Sundarakanda easier and also ease the path to a Sanskrit version of Sundarakanda in prose form.

- Create a version of Sundarakanda with English Translation with Sloka text in multiple languages starting with Telugu. This may not be new but this is the kasarabada version

- Create a version of Sundarakanda with Telugu Translation.

- Create a version of complete Telugu Sundarakanda in prose covering the meanings of all Slokas of Sundarakanda in Valmiki Ramayanam.

- Create a version of complete Sundarakanda in English covering the meanings of all Slokas of Sundarakanda in Valmiki Ramayanam.

- Create a version of Sanskrit Sundarakanda in prose form covering all slokas of Sundarakanda in Valmiki Ramayan

- Create a version of Sundarakanda bringing out the inner meaning of Sundarakanda in Telugu and English. This version could be called "Anatarartham" or Tattva Dipika . The main reference would be Tattva Dipika of Sri Bhashyam Appalaacharyulu garu .

The above is the broad scope of the Sundarakanda Project of kasarabada.org. This project has been in the works since 1994 , when we started the first project of making a Samkshipta Sundarakanda .
