Kasarabada Scholars Program
initiated at PR Govt college Kakinada, AP, India
It is a pleasure to detail the activities of the Athato Foundation, a Kasarabada Trust..
1 Athato Foundation initiated the Kasarabada Scholars program at the PR Govt College , Kakinada, AP , by instituting three scholarships carrying award of Rs750 per month to each student in the three year BSc degree program at the college. These Scholarships were instituted in June 2018. The college consented to take the responsibility of selecting and awarding the students based on Merit. 2 Athato Foundation initiated the Kasarabada Scholars program at the Govt Arts College , Rajahmundry , AP , by instituting three scholarships carrying award of Rs750 per month to each student in the three year BSc degree program at the college. These Scholarships are part of the plan for the year 2018. This brings the total number of such awards to 12 including the two awards to MGH School Guntur.
3 During this year Athato Foundation supported the school program by providing benches for one more classroom in the Govt Upper primary School in KR Puram, Bangalore. This is done second year in a row. The support for funding for these class room benches amounting to Rs. Sixty five thousand came from Mrs Lakshmi Vijay Raghav Rao, who funded the corpus of the Foundation.
3 Athato Foundation is committed to continuing the Kasarabada Scholar program at Gayathri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering for four students . The Kasarabada Scholar receives Rs.2000/per month for the nine months of the academic year amounting to Rs 18000/. This Year the scholarship were supporterd by the generous corpus funding by by Mrs Lakshmi Vijay Raghav Rao who donated Rs 35000/ and Dr & Mrs Chundi Satyanarayana who donated Rs.35000/ to the corpus. We are extremely grateful for the generous support which allowed the foundation corpus to grow and contin ue to meet its commitments.
4 The Majeti Guravaiah High school 2018 Best Teacher and Best student awards went to
- Mr. Ch Balaji as the Best student. (The Best student award was instituted in the name of Late Shri Kasarabada Gopalakrishna of Guntur)
- Smt Shyama Chandrika as the Best teacher. ( The Best teacher award was instituted in the name of Pandit Vijayraghavrao of Bombay
The award amount was Rs 2,330 for each.
5 The foundation plans to support two Govt. upper primary schools in KR Puram , Bangalore with Books worth Rs 6000 during 2018-19.
As can be seen the Trust itself has been the beneficiary of the genorsity of the patrons. The support thus received goes a long way towards establishing the long term stability of the Trust activities through Athato Foundation
