Welcome to Kasarabada.org

January 1 , 2014!

Greetings for a Very Happy New Year !!

kasarabada.org wishes you all the readers a very Happy New Year !!

This issue is also the 183rd issue , and we are pleased with the journey !

With weekly issues covering atleast one of the three topics namely Ramayanam, Bhagavtam and Vedic jignyasa ( Athato brahma jignyasa !) over a period of more than three years , we are happy to have covered the full 68 chapters of Sundarakanda and also all chapters of Dasama Skandha of Bhagavatam . We also have covered Kathopanishad and Shankaracharya's Tatvabodha in their entirety. The " one more thing " column is our attempt for a commentary linking past with the present ! Along the way we had articles on Role models in Ramayanam and Telugu Sundarakanda of Elchuri Vijayraghavarao garu !

We did not start with an agenda to cover all this. So we cannot say that "we said we will do this and then did accomplish the same" !! We stated in our first issue that The objective of the site is to present literary and spiritual content related to old Sanskrit Classics . The site is for story telling ..." that we largely did so gives us a pleasing feeling !!

The site was started by the Kasarabada Trust . This week we carry the pictures of the awardees from MGH School Guntur, AP for the last year .There is a story behind the trust too !

We are grateful for the informal encouragement of many. We are happy to receive articles for any of the four columns.

We hope to continue on our adventure !!

Happy Reading !!

Om tat sat !!

The Telugu page had a beginning on Last Ugadi and is continuing !!! The page in Telugu titled - "Subbalakshmigari Kalam loninchi" has some notes on Saundaryalahari. This is now moving at its own pace . This time in inkomaata we have some reminiscences from previous Dussera's!!

Welcome to Kasarabada.org: ARCHIVES

What is on the kasarabada.org?

For the new visitors we thought of adding a few lines on navigation , so that they may know what is available on Kasarabada.org !

Now the site has a layered structure with with three main pages :

- Ramayanam which includes Sundarakanda, Role models of Ramayana, Vijayaraghavrao gari Telugu Sundarakanda

- Bhagavatam which includes Dasama Skandha and Uddhava Gita

Athato Brahma jignyasa which includes Kathopanishad and Tatvabhodha

Bhagavatam carries 89 chapters of the Dasama Skandha and parts of Uddhava Gita the last message of Sri Krishna from Srimad Bhagavatam. All the chapters of Dasama Skandha (stories on Krishna) are listed by name and are available on a link on the Dasama Skandha page.

Under Ramayanam We have complete 68 chapters of Sundarakanda and a large bouquet of articles on Ramayana. These articles include "Role models from Ramayana" namely Srirama , Sita , Hanuman , Jataayu , Sabari , Bharata , Lakshmana. Apart from these there were some special articles namely The Message of Ramayana , Going to the Forests and about Hanuman in "In the thick of the Battle " . Along the same lines are the earlier articles in praise of Hunuman 1 , Hanuman 2 and Valmiki Sundarakanda . Added to this bouquet is the Sundarakanda as a Telugu poem by Pandit Vijayraghavrao. We have also added some downloads specifically for the Sankshipta Sundarakanda ( with Sanskrit slokas) reproduced in different language scripts namely Sanskrit , Telugu , Kannada and Malayalam . There is also a Telugu Sundarakanda Katha for those interested in reading the same as a prose story !!,.

One more thing is a page where we get articles which could be on anything , informative and educative handled with a light heart and a touch of contemporary realities. The page lists all the earlier stories on its page

The last column is Athato Brahma Jignyasaa . This page is focused on Indian Philosophy /Darsanas. This has been special page for Kathopanishad and Sankaracharya's Tatvabhodha

In effect to have a look at what is available from the earlier issues you only need to visit the four pages of Ramayanam , Bhagavatam , one more thing. and Athato Brahma Jignyasaa. Each page of these banner pages carry the list of all earlier articles .
