Slokas 394-396 with meanings in English

Viveka Chudamani Slokas 394-396:

In the last three Slokas ( 391-393) Guru elaborated on Brahmam taking recourse to a simile.  Just as the wave, surf, whirlpool, bubbles etc.,are not different from water,  everything from the body to the ego is nothing but "chit". The Universe known mind and speech is all Brahman only. Only the ones drunk with wine of Maya talk about 'you' and 'I', as being different though in reality both are only a form of Brahman.

In Slokas 394-396 Guru continues in the same spirit. He compares  Brahman to space to highlight the limitlessness of Brahman which is like limitless space. Then says those who realize that, "I am brahman", should live in that state of Brahman with eternal Bliss.

Sloka  394:

Brahman is without a second and and as such incomparable. Here through Guru compares it with space with an idea of explaining some specific aspects.So he starts Sloka comparing Brahman to Space. .

like space it is untainted and Absolute;

Brahman is pure like space. Just as space is not polluted by dirt etc, Brahman too is not distorted  by the ignorance.

without limits, without motion and without modifications;

Just as space has no limits , without movement or modification, so too is Brahman.

it has neither inside or outside, non different and non dual without a second;

Like the sky,  Brahman  is without limits motionless and unchanging. it is without inside or outside. It is without a second. It is our own Self .

our own self the Supreme Brahman;
स्वतःसिद्धमैनदि (अदे) परब्रह्ममु;

Sloka summary 394:

The Supreme Brahman is pure like the sky, unchanging, infinite  and motionless; without inside or out side, always itself and non dual. What else is there to know about Brahman.
