This issue updates the Ramayanam and Bhagavatam sections.
Bhagavatam continues with the Chapter 6 of Dasama Skandha. Chapter 6 tells the story of Putana and her salvation. This is beginningof a series of interesting stories of Krishna's exploits as a child. This chapter includes a prayer of the mothers in Gokul for the protection of the child. The Prayer of Mothers in its original form( Sanskrit in Devanagari script ) is also made available in the downloads. Ramesh Bhai Ojha who performs Bhagavata katha discourses (www.sandipani.org ) mentions that the "Prayer of Mothers" is good for mothers to ward off childrens ailments. A reading of the of the hymn itself clearly establishes that the mother's prayer as a series of simple statements Each statement is about the various limbs and faculties of the child. Even if we donot subscribe to the miraculous powers attributed to the slokas, a reading in any case will have the benifit of the power of positive thinking. As part of Ramayanam, the part four of "Sankshipta Sundarakanda" by Pandit Vijayraghavrao continues. This issue covers the Chapters 25 to 28 of Valmiki Sundarakanda and is titled "Trijata Svapnamu ". The coming issue will cover, "Sita- hanumamtula sambhaashana ".
