Welcome to Kasarabada.org

This week Bhagavatam continue with Chapter 70 of Dasama Skandha. Here a normal day in the life of House holder Krishna is detailed as though it is meant to be seen as the way a householder should spend his day . But then this also moves the story towards the eventual Killing of Jarasandha too.

We also have one more new feature - a "witty wisdom " link from Turaga Kamaraju . The word 'wisdom' brings to memory either a quote with high sounding phrases or a discourse by a swami or a sermon. There is an aura of solemnity around the word wisdom. But in today's fast paced world with social networks and mobile devices taking most of our wakeful moments. Can wisdom be shared in small portions for daily consumption? Can wisdom be witty?.. Well you see the results . Hopefully we will have a weekly update !

The last issue ( Nov 11 2011) carried a contribution by Shri Turaga Rajendraprasad under the "One more thing". It is about a sloka from the 10th adhyaya Vibhuti Yoga in Bhagavadgita. The text is from the book (Volume 2, Pages 418, 419) : Universal Message Of The Bhagavad Gita (3 Volumes) By Swami Ranganathananda, 1474 Pages, Hardcover. It is a verse by verse exposition of the Gita by Swami Ranganathananda, 13th President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. We are pleased to add that www.advaitaashrama.com has more information about the books available etc.

Athato Brahmajignyasaa continues . This week the Mahavakyaas listed by Sankaracharya are touched upon. By no means this can be thought of as even an introduction to those lines. It is more correctly mere re-presentation of those great lines. Eventually we hope to touch those lines in a more serious presentation !

We continue our requests for contributions.

Om Tat Sat

Witty Wisdom !
