Chapter 44

Following the orders of the King of Rakshasas, Jambumali the son of Prahasta, who is most powerful, and a great archer moved for the battle with Hanuman

Seeing him coming on a chariot drawn by donkeys Hanuman was delighted and roared again

Then Jambumali let go a shower of arrows on Hanuman sitting atop the main entrance.

Stung by the arrows all over his body Hanuman again picked up the pillar used by him earlier to batter the Kimkaras and started twirling it around.

The powerful Hanuman moving with speed and twirling the pillar hit Jambumali on his chest.

Hit by the twirling pillar his chariot and horses were destroyed. His head, shoulders and legs were reduced to virtual dust.

When the Jambumali, the son of Prahasta, the most powerful was killed on the battle field, Ravana who was very much angered, ordered the sons of the ministers to fight Hanuman.
