Chapter 68

अथाहमुत्तरं देव्या पुनरुक्तस्संभ्रमः ।
तवस्नेहान्नर व्याघ्र सौहार्दादनुमान्यवै ॥

'Oh Best of men ! Besides this when I was about to leave she spoke again about what should be done next, out of her love and affection for you.'

Hanuman continued.

Telling SriRama about his conversations with Sita in the Ashok van, he spoke as follows.

"Oh Best of men ! Besides this when I was about to leave she spoke again about what should be done next, out of her love and affection for you.'

" She said ' You tell SriRama the son of Dasaratha in such a way that he should kill Ravana in the battle and take me back quickly . Oh Great warrior! if it is possible you may stay for one more day in a solitary place and then proceed . Oh Hanuman I have a perplexing thought about your other associates Vanaras and Bhallukas . How will they, as well as the two princes cross that ocean which is impossible to cross? Oh Great one what plan you have for crossing that ocean which is impossible to cross ?'

' Oh Maruti ! You alone are capable enough to accomplish this task . But by that only your fame will increase world wide . SriRama coming with all the forces and killing Ravan in the battlefield and taking me to his capital is appropriate. That alone is good for him and me. Afraid of SriRama that Rakshasa abducted me in deceitful way. Similarly taking me now without defeating the Ravana and his army is not appropriate for SriRama. SriRama who is capable of demolishing enemies should destroy Lanka and then take me. Only that action is appropriate for SriRama.'

"Hearing those meaningful and righteous words I replied to her in the following manner addressing her concerns".

'O DevI ! Sugriva , the leader of the Vanaras and the most powerful one is determined to unite you with SriRama. The leader of Vanaras , Sugriva's has vanaras who are more powerful than me or equal to me . No body is less powerful than me. If I am able to come here then what to speak of others ! O Lady ! The leaders in general send the ordinary people as messengers or for accomplishing small works. The op most men are not sent for such tasks !'

' Oh Devi you do not be downcast in sorrow . Be free from worry. The Vanaras will all reach Lanka in one leap ! O Noble lady ! I will carry the two princes who radiate luster like that of rising Sun and Moon on my shoulders and bring them here. You will soon see SriRama, the scorcher of enemies, and Lakshmana carrying their bows standing in front of the gates of Lanka'

'You will soon see heroic Vanaras , who have claws and fangs as their weapons , who are courageous like lions and tigers, who are huge in size like elephants and mountains ,. You will soon hear the mighty roar resembling the rumbling sounds of the clouds on the mountain valleys of Lanka'

'You will soon have the blissful experience of Rama being crowned along with you at Ayodhya after he destroys the enemies and completes his forest sojourn'.

" Oh SriRama Being thus consoled by me in these words the princes of Mithila who was ever distressed by thoughts about your sorrow felt her grief a little assuaged and attained peace and mental satisfaction".

ततो मया वाग्भिरदीन भाषिणा
शिवाभिरिष्ठाभिरभिप्रसादिता ।
जगाम शांतिं मम मैथिलात्मजा
तवातिशोकेन तथातिपीडिता ॥

Being thus consoled by me in these words the princes of Mithila who was ever distressed by thoughts about your sorrow felt her grief a little assuaged and attained some peace.
