O Rajan ! though Salva has fallen , the friends of Sisupal were not done .

Dantavakra is another friend of the fallen Sisupala and Salva. Then Dantavakra intending to carryout revenge for the death of his friends Sisupala, Salva and Paundraka rushed forward to attack Lord Krishna.

Alone and on foot he approached Krishna with his mace in hand . Seeing him Krishna on foot , Krishna got down from his chariot with a mace in Hand . Raising his mace Dantavakra fiercely shouted ,” Good fortune indeed that I am seeing you .You are our maternal cousin . O Fool ,You killed my friends. Now you want to kill me . Therefore I will kill you with my mace which is like thunderbolt. Then I will be repaying my debt to my friends by killing you . You are an enemy disguised in the form of a relative. “ Thus talking harshly he hit Lord with his mace . Though struck , Lord without showing any effects used his mace Kaumodaki and struck Dantavakra on his chest . With that hit Dantavakra collapsed on to the ground and died immediately . Then a form of light emanated from Dantavakra and merged into Lord Krishna.

Immediately Viduratha , brother of Dantavakra came forward with sword and shield in his hands to attack Lord Krishna. Lord quickly took his Sudarshan disc to sever his head instantly .

With the destruction of Saubha death of Salva , Dantavakra and Viduratha , the Devas Siddhas, Charanas , Human beings and great sages all praised the Lord.

Suka Deva continued .

O King ! the story of Sisupala and Dantavakra , is a story of intense enmity with the Lord spread over three ages . They were originally the two sentries Jaya and Vijaya of the Lord Vishnu who have been cursed to spend their life as asuras on the earth in confrontation with the Lord and meet their death at the hands of MahaVishnu. In successive births they were Hiranyakasyapu and Hiranyaksha, Ravana and Kumbhakarna, and finally as Sisupala and Dantavktra. Being endowed with the thought of the Lord though in confrontation they attain purity and unite with him after the third death.
